We are so glad that we had Dwelltech Solutions complete a home energy audit on our house! The thermal imaging camera that they used was an amazing indicator of insulation performance, and the blower door test was a great way to show how tight the home was against airflow form the outside.

We recently sold our house and used the energy report as a sales tool that confirmed the home's energy efficiency. Winter Improvements

This letter is in reference to the excellent assessment, analysis and work carried out by Dwelltech Solutions on our property in Holland, Michigan over the period of January to April 2009.

During last winter and previous winters, we have experienced a worsening problem with icicle formation and ice dams, especially on the north, east and west facing roof edges. The condition was also causing water ingress into the east facing outer wall space. In looking for a solution, we wanted an objective method to identify all root causes of the symptoms rather than make changes based on rough assumptions.

That's where Dwelltech Solutions has provided exactly what we needed. Through your thermal imaging and blower door measurements and analysis, you identified 7 specific items that needed to be addressed, with priority assigned to each. As expected, attic insulation improvement was included in your list, but more fundamental issues of undesirable air movement into and out of the attic space were identified in addition to heat leakage into the attic from the 2nd floor recessed light fixtures.
